Todays Youth by LesbyK, jhen jhen, SUGAR

My own perspective about Youth, that they are the one who promotes change in their community in a good way.In fact, they play an important role in the community.Elders or Seniors count on the youth because they believed that someday, youths will be their successor to give their certain community a bright tomorrow. Youth should be active and present whenever the community needs them. They also promote programs like 'Clean Up Drive',Feeding Program, and they even have charities.Lastly, youths presence in church activities is the most important thing for them to do. Imagine that all of our youths are like that.We can live a peaceful and happy life in the future. But in today's generation, youths like them are very rare.

If we observe our community, mostly of our youths are not that active. They can't even go inside the church because they prefer to play with their gadgets and chat with their online friends. They don't care about their community because they are busy with their life doing nonsense things. Other youths lose their paths and are involved in inappropriate deeds. They are now involved in gambling, drug addictions and for female youths, they are involved in prostitutions. Instead of being the the instrument in the bright tomorrow, they did the opposite. They disagreed at the saying of Jose Rizal  which is "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng Bayan" which means that youth is the hope of our Fatherland. In other words, youths were entrusted an obligation to promote peace and improvement to their community.

In urban places, youths had a society which is fraternity for men and sorority for women. It is about the brotherhood or the sisterhood of youths. If you want to join those societies, you must do something to prove them that you are worthy to join them. Others you joined them died because of their merciless trials. You are lucky if you had survived their. The point is, we should not undergo a trial to prove them that we are worthy to their society. As youth, we should care and love for each other without trials. We should not choose people we want to love but instead, we should love everybody around us as we can.
